April Showers bring May Succulents?

Oh Happy May! This is my first official post and I'm keeping it short and sweet. I recently celebrated my 24th birthday. This was my first birthday back home since graduating. So yes, I was pretty unsure on how to go about this day. I decided to keep it intimate spending the day with my other half. We started the day with brunch at one of my favorites places located  in Emory Village.

Following brunch we found our way at the Dekalb Farmers Market where we picked up a nice slice of German Chocolate cake and some seedless grapes. We pretty much deconstructed the cake as soon as we got back to our hotel. From the market we went to Kudzu Antiques! I am obsessed with this place. We spent almost two hours in here. He was so patient with me, especially when I decided to pop a squat to skim through their tasteful book selection. After Kudzu we were equally exhausted so we headed back to our home away from home. Oh and let me not forget about my two new babies! I was allowed to picked out two succulents, so I decided to go with an "Elephant Bush" and the "Pacific Blue Ice" or what he calls it the "lotus flower". Ignore the crumbs from my moments of impatience when hungry.

But anyway we ended up potting the succulents in some of my handmade ceramic dishes that I crafted a few years ago. And to think I was considering getting rid of these dishes, they came in handy!

I was really pleased with my lowkey "therapeutic" type of day. My boyfriend actually decided to stay in town an extra night, so this I was quite grateful for this as well. He took me to my new favorite Atlanta cafe for brunch the following day. I'm pretty sure I'll post about this place in the future. But for now I am sticking to my word and keeping this first post s+s.

xoxo
